Building the Control Plane for Agentic AI

Sotero builds the control plane for agentic AI — identity, governance, enforcement, and auditing for systems where software acts on its own.

Argus exists to close a specific gap. Agents act before anyone reviews. Delegation chains run deeper than anyone tracks. And when something goes wrong, there is often no standing record of what happened or why it was permitted.

Sotero operates on the principle that you should “trust nothing by default.” Every action is credentialed, gated, and logged before it runs, using policy as code. Nothing an agent does is trusted simply because the agent is the one doing it.

The security mechanisms behind that are real and running today — live cryptographic signing, live policy evaluation, live credential issuance. We would rather show a working system to a small, trusted group of teams than describe a platform that does not exist yet.

What we believe

Trust nothing by default

Trust nothing by default

Every action is credentialed, gated, and logged before it runs. Access is something an agent earns per request, never something it holds onto.

Governance that keeps up

Controls that slow agents down get switched off. Argus evaluates policy locally and issues credentials in the request path, so security stays on in production.

Built, not promised

The security mechanisms are real and running — live cryptographic signing, live policy evaluation, live credential issuance. We'd rather show the system than the roadmap.
